OnsiteView.com has just released some new features!! So what better time to go over our features with our visitors!

- The Live view will allow you to take control of the camera and maneuver it! Pan, Tilt, and Zoom are all available in the live view!
- The Archive section allows users to view all their saved images. Our camera takes a snapshot ever 15 minutes and uploads it to the server. This is a great way to see what was going on in the past (look up by a certain day at a certain time!)
- Find out the weather at the jobsite! With your jobsite’s zip code, we can show you a weather report of what’s happening on your job. Find out about rain in the forecast or sunny days in the near future.
- Visiting the jobsite for the first time? Consult the map and get there in record time!
- Use our time lapse video maker to view progress on the jobsite in a quick and easy way! It takes the archive photos and dates to automatically make the videos. Also use our ‘one photo per day’ option to get a quick and accurate depiction of how the job is progressing from start to present.
- The scrapbook is a new feature we just released! It allows our users to upload files to OnsiteView servers. Keep digital photo snaps, pdfs, txt files, doc files, mov files, anything related to the jobsite all in one place. Also allows for saving a snapshot from the camera anytime. And it can even be password protected for an added layer of protection!
- Milestones are a way that Archive photos can be bookmarked and viewed later. Save important pics like a concrete pour, or walls going up and show them later with ease.
- Comparison allows a user to take two photos of any date and time and view them side by side. This is another new feature we just released! Check it out today!!
- Daily email allows a user to setup a recurring daily status email with photo to be sent to any email address you want. Perfect for keeping everyone in the loop on the jobsite progress!
- Email a snapshot or any archived photo to any email address you need to! We also provide an address book for quick sending to regular contacts.

So no more worries about getting DSL at remote locations or those hefty monthly fees associated with business high speed internet connections.

Our Wireless ptz camera is just what the doctor ordered for indoor and outdoor applications.

From the Overheard Department.

Recently I was in the waiting area of a client’s office just outside their conference room. A big meeting as going on with lots of folks and loud voices. The gist of the discussion had to do with the project being behind schedule and who was responsible. In a perfect Texas drawl I could hear, “But it rained for three days!”

The room fell silent. Rarely does an opportunity fall into you hands like this. One of the key benfits of using a construction webcam is dispute resolution. The reason the room went silent is because nobody could remember if it had rained those days or not. With the image archive they could have pulled up the dates in question and put the issue to bed.

Dispute resolution isn’t the only thing the image archive is good for. Was the backhoe idle for a week? When was the scaffolding taken down? I want to email an image of the topper ceremony. These are all good examples.

And yes, the client did order a camera.

As the cost of energy rises, so does the cost of travel. Depending on who you believe, we also might be heading into a mild recession. If your company is like most, travel expenses are one of the first things to be trimmed. That can make project management even more difficult. That is where Construction Webcams can help.

Once the camera is installed, you can monitor jobsite progress from your laptop no matter where you are. That includes under a beach umbrella. The images are live too. Not static photos. That means you can conduct a live meeting via cellphone and laptop……just like you were there. Wall not where it is supposed to be? Have your super move to the right location.

You can also email images directly from the Web Viewer. No longer do you have to take photos yourself from the jobsite. Those images can also become part of the archive.

Now there is a painless way to save money, be in two places at once, and repair the hole in the ozone.
